Haley Hope Gillilan is from Kansas City, Missouri and is a student at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana earning a bachelor's degree in English and Film Studies.

As a writer, she's interested in themes of home, journey, and community. As a three-fourths white, one-fourth Asian person, she's curious about labels, family, and culture identity.  As a Christian woman, she loves exploring hard questions about faith, intersectional feminism, and female leadership in the church.

Currently, her favorite medium is television, and is interested in everything from good episode writing, to media representation, to the way our culture engages with our favorite shows. When she's not binge watching something new or reading a young adult novel, she's working as a RA in her residence hall, having deep conversations at her favorite Muncie coffee shop, and rooting for her favorite KC sports teams.
