Lauren Cross is a senior English major with a concentration in Creative Writing at Ball State University. As a feminist interning with the Indiana State Senate, she promised herself she would dedicate the rest of her life to social justice reform after seeing how many people’s rights were trampled on by the privileged. As both a feminist and a writer, she is inspired by those who relinquish their vulnerabilities on the page, and she hopes to share this unyielding honesty with her readers. In her essay “Paper Dreams,” you can read about her experiences with the current state of women’s health. Currently, Lauren is a Prose Editor for Ball State University’s literary journal The Broken Plate. You can follow Lauren on her personal blog: laurenjcross.weebly.com.
