Mariann Fant is a queer Latina, speaker, activist, and artist from southern Indiana.
She is currently a student at Ball State studying Public Communication and Spanish. She is the President of Spectrum, Ball State’s GSRM (gender, romantic, and sexual minorities) and allies group and the Captain of the Ball State Speech Team. Mariann works to bring visibility, education and create resources for marginalized students on campus.
Mariann sees her art as a form of self-care and sometimes as an extension of her activism. She mainly creates in black and white pencil work (though has experience in pottery and clay sculpture) and likes to focus on human subjects.
